I began the journey into the flooring inspection field in 1993. Over the years I have attended many classes in order to advance my knowledge of the industry. There have been a few classes over the years that have really stood out. Thus far, I have attended three (3) different classes at IFCI. All three (3) classes have been phenomenal. There have been no salespeople at the classes with an agenda to promote their products. The classes have been designed to simply “teach” inspectors “how to” inspect. I experienced hands-on training, ideas on marketing my services, and no-nonsense training on report writing. Henri, Billy, Linda and Ray, I commend you on the training program you have developed. I am also appreciative of the support you have given outside of the classroom. It is one thing to show and talk about what needs to be done to make inspectors better at the class, it’s another thing to offer your help and support the way all of you do after the class. I have learned over the years that people can basically be put into four (4) categories. There are people that make things happen, others that watch things happen, and those that wonder what happened. And of course there are always those who criticize the ones that make things happen. You are all to be commended on making things happen in order to make our industry better.
